colin watching as my dad was “giving me away” <3 one of my favorite photos.
we received our wedding photos today! once i figure out how to make these files a little smaller i’m going to upload many more. so excited, we love them.
although we both want children, we’d like to get settled into our careers, fix up our home and get a little traveling in before we start a family…but i accidentally came across some “newborn” photography on pinterest and i’m obsessed with the new direction that photographers are taking in their approach. although it’ll be a few years before we invest in this type of photography it’s never too soon to start collecting some inspiration, ha! these are just a few of my favorite shots.
i was looking at some of our wedding photos today and started wondering how we are going to celebrate our one year anniversary. of course i went to pinterest for some ideas and i came across some beautiful 1 year anniversary photo shoots and thought a photo session would be a fun way to celebrate one year of marriage too. i’d also like to go to camp 4 for dinner and catch a baseball game.
so relieved. keep in mind that if you want to use photos from your wedding in your thank you cards you may have to wait an uncomfortable amount of time. but we are so thrilled that we have finally placed our order. we should receive our thank you cards next week and then we will work feverishly to get them mailed out!
we found this design on etsy at thirty one designs. it was the easiest, quickest process ever. fernanda is the owner and designer—she was so nice and sent us our jpeg in no time. we used shutterfly to upload the jpeg she sent us. we simply applied them to a blank 5x7 cards and then customized the inside with our own message.
our photographer posted sneak peek photos of our wedding. i’m so excited to receive the rest of the pictures! she was so fun to work with and we love what she’s shared with us so far. she captured lots of great moments. i can’t wait to have these printed. here’s the link to the rest of the photos! along with posting our home projects, monthly adventures, and (hopefully soon) photos/footage from the wedding—we’re now going to start posting one photo a week (sometimes maybe a few more) for a year. we’ve seen this done by so many people and think it’s a fun project to start as newly weds. it’ll be crazy to see if how much we change by this time next year!
we’re thinking of investing in a camera and video camera. maybe we’ll do monthly interviews too!?
first and only photo we have so far from friends of us inside the church, ha <3
cell phone shot one of my amazing bridesmaids captured while i was waiting on the stairs above the entrance minutes before entering the church!
